Aspenkit is just your typical ShadowClan kit: he has a mother and father who adore him, littermates who play with him, and a whole Clan of cats who help support and raise a young warrior such as himself.
As he grows, he learns much about the life of the Clan and the rules of the forest through his mentor and father, and begins to find his place in all of it.
However, things change when Aspenpaw witnesses a series of deaths early in his apprenticeship that shakes the Clan and alerts him to a deeper danger that threatens to completely upend the balance of the four Clans.
Soon, the arrival of an apprentice fleeing for her life from ThunderClan brings the balance of the forest down, and throws Aspenpaw into a war that'll change his life forever.

Misguided Steps: The Lost Clans
The clans, long disconnected from their origins, have been thrown into chaos. Their leader, Daffodilstar, has resigned to believe that she will be the last leader of Windclan, with Crowkit and Foxkit as the last kits to live on the moor connected to the memories of their warrior ancestors.
