Finch is a depressed, hopeless teenager with nobody to love him and no one to help him. Suicide seems so appealing to him, it's the light at the end of the tunnel. It would get rid of all his problems and rid the world of his pathetic being. His mother is gone, and his dad never comes home. His older sister doesn't even pay attention to him and denies they share the same blood. Killing himself seems satisfying, and wouldn't he be doing everyone a favor?
But then things change after one drastic action he takes. Things change forever. He begins to find meaning in life once more. But how? How can you get out of that deep dark place when it's all you know and there seems to be no exit?
