Excerpt:

"Why? Why is this happening?" Arthur screamed, punching his right fist repeatedly into the wall until he felt the warmth of his blood dripping down onto the ground beneath him. Numb with despair, he crumpled against the wall and burrowed his face into his blood-stained hands.

"Arthur!" Zoé cried out and Arthur heard the pitter-pattering of her steps as she rushed towards him. The French gently pulled him into her arms and gave him a tight hug as another sob racked through him. He let his arms hang limply by his side as his tears soaked into her ragged shirt.

"It's okay, I'm here. I've got you," she said softly and he recoiled back from her words, pulling away from her grasp.

"It's not going to be okay!" he choked out and shook his head fiercely, a crazed look glinting in his eyes, "It's never going to be okay."

"It's me. It's all me," he screamed as he dug his fingers into the ground.

"They're all dead and it's all my fault!""

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust

"Would you have killed that young boy!? Over a fucking purse!?"I shot back. It was a stupid temerity but I was willing to take the risk. "I would do whatever it takes to show that I call the shots"He menacingly replied. "Even with you"His voice dropped to a dangerously low tone. "Now you are just acting like a possessive and dominating freak"I replied with a roll of my eyes and a hiss. In a fluid motion, he quickly grasped my braids, dragging it. My eyes widened and I held on to his arm, wincing. "That's because I am. I own you. You belong to me. I'll always be the one you lust for and crave for. And if you try to act otherwise, I'll make sure I make you submit to me whether you like it or you don't"Raphael huskily replied, dragging my braids more. His words felt so sensual and yet so dangerous. I became weak in the knees and my breathing became rapid in pace. "And what if I don't want to submit to your orders, what will you do huh?"I taunted him. "Will you kill me? Shoot me? Stab me huh? Mr Raphael!?" I knew if I were to be someone else, I would have been dead by now. Raphael looked like he was seconds away from hitting me but I knew there was no way he would do that. "I won't kill you"came his raspy reply with his voice turning malicious, laced with cruelty. He pressed his body against mine and his hands fisted in my braids curling against my scalp. Shit. It was becoming extremely painful. "I'll punish you" In the blink of an eye, I felt his lips pressed forcely against mine. * * * * * * What if the hero in your story was the villain? He says with no hesitation. It takes a moment for my hazy mind to catch up. I'm still in a daze, mesmerized by his perfections, and the deep dimple set in his cheek. I blink, "What?" "Don't make me say it again." He says, sounding frustrated, but I catch the hint of embarassment in his voice as he runs his hand through his hair and takes a step back. I grab a hold of the neckline to his shirt and yank him back within close proximity of me. "What if I want you to say it again?" I ask, studying his eyes. "Isn't it enough that I said it once?" He scowls, trying to pull back, but I restrain him from doing so. "Nope. Just say it one more time and I'll be satisfied." I state bravely, feeling a boost of confidence I didn't have earlier. He glances down, then looks back up into my eyes, allowing me to spot the vulnerability and uncertainty he feels. "I love you." He says, putting more strength in his voice than he looks to have. I grin, pulling him in for a kiss, but right before I do, I say the one phrase that will seal my fate, "I love you too, big, bad mafia boss." ••••• The story may be rough but the comment section makes up for it. ••••• Word count: 51,173 ••••• Written and published 2018-2019

Desperate to just survive each day, Reagan's world is turned upside down when Paris unexpectedly enters her life, offering her a chance to explore a world of dominance she never knew she needed. As Reagan delves into a journey of self-discovery and passion, she must confront her suppressed emotions surrounding her sister's passing and her growing dependence on Paris. Join Reagan on a gripping adventure of love, loss, and finding the strength to heal in the face of unimaginable pain. "Why not?" I whisper against his lips, I want him closer to my body, I want it so badly it's almost painful. The sensation spreads through me like a relentless throbbing, engulfing my entire body. Paris pulls away to look at me, and his eyes are darker, deeper. I swallow at the primal desire pouring from his stare, eyes widening when he wraps his hand around my neck, his thumb stroking as it bobs. Almost instinctively, I raise my hand and put it over his, making him squeeze tighter. Paris growls low in his throat, and I close my eyes, marveling at the way every single nerve ending lights up. "Why not?" I ask again, just wishing he'd close the space between us. Just wishing he'd touch me. "No. This is wrong and I'm sorry I let it get this far. I'm older than you, love. You're so fucking young. This is......no," "I'm twenty, not seventeen, and I don't care. It doesn't matter," it's the wrong thing to say because when I open my eyes, he's shaking his head, his eyes locked on the wall near my head with an unreadable expression on his face. He removes his hand from around my throat, and the other slides slowly up my side and grips my waist, putting me more firmly against the wall. "No, Reagan," he says through clenched teeth, turning around and going to his room. I flinch at the sound of his bedroom door closing.
