„Ce-or să zică oamenii că-i trădezi? Că le divulgi secretele și le studiezi rutina precum un experiment crud în derulare. Și după ce le dezvălui lumii, te aștepți să te susțină, să te salute pe stradă?". Tocmai din acest motiv o fac; nu vreau să le demonstrez nimic. Vreau doar să le schițez portrete, așa cum le văd eu în primele ore ale dimineții sau în nopți târzii, pe la colțul străzilor înguste, în bătaia lunii. Pentru că adevărul e o experiență unică pentru fiecare pereche de ochi, și ce e real pentru mine, ochii multora percep ca fiind o iluzie bine conturată. Acum am ocazia să răspund curiozității lacome din care se înfruptă buzele îndeajuns de curajoase care întreabă „Diana, despre cine scrii ?" Dacă le spun că scriu despre mine, n-au să mă creadă, fiindcă nu mă pot identifica, repetat, cu toate tipurile de oameni de aici.
