I never wanted to stay in that crusty old town by the name of Cow Creek. Being laid over there for a few days --  unable to afford lodging anywhere less trashy -- wasn't part of my travel plans. 

Finding myself ripped from Earth and stranded in space, with no way to communicate or protect myself, or even understand my place in this new world wasn't part of my travel plan either. 

But I would have paid anything, or even moved into that dying town for the rest of my life, if somehow it would have stopped me from being taken. Being part of the disappearance of Cow Creek.

I WILL BE RE-WRITING MANY OF THE FIRST CHAPTERS OVER THE NEXT MONTHS.
