"Dear Aspen,
There has been a glitch in the system. There's an unusual character, I don't know her name. It started terribly, but things have only gone downhill. I am not sure what to do, but I cannot intervene directly. That would entail leaving my quarters, and I do not need to explain why that is impossible. I plead with you, I require assistance."
"I know who this man is. And do not worry, my friend. That brave soul is acting, and will not die just yet. However, he will work through on his own; the fates have allowed this."
"Dear Aspen,
'The Fates'?! Are you bloody mad? This child is causing the system to glitch! People are not getting born because of her... or 'him', I do not even know anymore. What does this mean, Aspen? What are you not telling me?!"
"My good friend, do not worry. The Fates are simply an alias, for legal terminology. The child causing you immense grief is named 'King', a transgender male, hence the confusion. It does not help that the Fates were all female."
"Dear Aspen,
Who are the Fates?! What is playing out?!"
"The Fates are past lives, my beloved. The King will have his guidance; all you need to do is keep an eye, and prevent anything from happening right away. You have your instincts, so simply follow them."
"Dear Aspen,
Now that wasn't so difficult, was it? I know you cannot tell me what is occurring, and rather I will find the proper conclusion later on. Timelines, etcetera. I sincerely hope further events will play out smoothly."
"No problems, my good friend. Now, this is to whomever is reading this beyond you: this story will not hold back on punches. There will be violence, references to abuse, suicide (though not played on screen), and terminal diseases."
"Dear Aspen,
I am sorry, but sometimes you are quite worrying."
"That is what people tell me."
