Modern-day Atlantis is under siege! In the aftermath of a swift takeover of the nation's capital by an ancient warlord, the future of Atlantis becomes ever darker. In a country that has refused to prepare for war, chaos reigns as regional leaders choose sides without much debate on how to win or why they are fighting. As a result, the people begin to needlessly suffer.
Uncertainty grips the world at large as the consequences of this chain of events become apparent inside and even beyond the veils that have shrouded the Mystic World from ours for nearly two millennia. In the worst possible way, the stable world order based on our obliviousness to the existence of this "Mystic World" has been shattered.
With all these developments, family and friends become more important than ever on a planet so easily divided. Only time will tell whether or not it's enough to save everyone, or anyone. And time is running out.

The First in the old Series! As the 21st century continues, Mankind is completely unaware of a whole other world that shares the planet with them. A world deliberately concealed for both of their sakes. A world mankind has forgotten. A world of magic. Citizens of this world are at risk of being discovered every second of every day, as our jets, boats, and even undersea cables run through their lands in the middle of the three major oceans spanning our planet. The only luxury protecting them is their long tradition of remaining forgotten by humans beyond their borders, and their magic making that tradition a reality. With everything going on and a few bumps/missteps (skill issues) along the way, the story ended up feeling a bit stiff and too detailed. I had some help from AI with the drafts, but it just didn't hit the right notes for me.
