In the ocean, away from any land or Island there was a small pod of mermaids. There was a family in the pod that was being hunted, so they decided to have a meeting to cast out the unwanted family. Once the family left the child found land but the parents were gone and couldn't help the child as he was taken away.

He sees what should have been an easy meal, some berries on a tree hanging over the river. Not wanting to lose a home that had been in his family for so long, he struggles to find some way to pay it off.
