In Apalon, there is a drought of magic. Years ago, nymphs played with fire and blended into the shadows. Witches taught their daughters to perform enchantments from ancient spellbooks. Shifters changed their features at will. When the magic-users turned on humans, King Hockley bravely drove them out of Apalon - that's what he tells his subjects, anyway.
Seventeen-year-old Audra Hallowell discovers that she is one of the magic-users she has been raised to fear and hate. She is a nymph, born with the unique ability to manipulate two elements, the earth and wind - and her name is at the top of King Hockley's hit list.
Audra joins Anastasia "Stasi" Grove, the kick-ass daughter of a witch and shifter and Prince Caspien, who's incurable illness threatens to take his life at any moment. Together, they escape King Hockley's men and locate a group of magic-users hidden deep within the country. Their mission is simple: overthrow King Hockley's throne of greed and lies so magic can be free. Completing the mission is almost impossible.

*WARNING! This book contains mature themes such as drinking, drug use, explicit language, mentions of suicide, sexual content, abuse, and more. Please read at your own risk.* Vermilion "Millie" Barrett goes into her sixth year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry in a stable, happy relationship with Fred Weasley. Everything is fine until Fred starts acting weird and suddenly breaks up with her. She's completely heartbroken until a certain "intolerable" Hufflepuff comes up with a plan to make Fred jealous and win him back, but what happens when they start spending more time together than intended? Where will Millie's feelings take her? Will Fred ever go back to Millie? The plot doesn't follow any specific books, but all of the tidbits of the wizarding world still apply! I only own the OC's (Vermillion, Killian, etc.) and the plot. All other characters and magical things are owned by J.K. Rowling. Started 12/2/20 Finished 7/4/21
