"Do you mean that chemistry test we have tomorrow?" I ask, frowning. His eyes widen, as he freezes in his tracks for a moment. "Chemistry test?" he asks quietly. "Lucas..." I rub my forehead, and then look up at him. "You're such an idiot". "You say that a lot, you know" he says, fake offended. "That's because you manage to prove it every day, and always in a different way". I open my backpack, and shove my chemistry book in his hands. "Now study". His smile grows a little bigger. "Thanks" he sighs, and he gives me a quick hug. "You're a life saver". ШШШ Lucas and Dean are possibly the closest friends in all of Molton high. Not many people know them, but the people that do, know they're always together. But what happens when there's suddenly a chance they'll be ripped apart? The Corelli and Carmichael families have been neighbors for years. The men were friends, so it only made sense for their children to be just as close. But just how close is TOO close? *** Lucas and Michaela were inseperable. So much so that they had their own standing orders at some places. They shared secrets and mischief and they loved that they could depend on one another. Lucas has held a candle for Michaela for years. She liked him too, but she moved on from her schoolgirl crush once he started dating and she realized he would never see her the same. When Lucas comes home again the Summer of her senior year of high school, things suddenly start to change between them. It makes their lives go from 0 to 100 in a heartbeat and neither of them expected it to happen. Excerpts from the story: * We've always been a good team. Hell, the best when we teamed up against others. If we can't keep an eye on him, no one can... * "So, what's the problem then?" I sit back in triumph, grinning. My hands are on my thighs but my eyes stay on my girl. "Come on," I start, stretching the two words tauntingly. Elijah groans. Michaela's eyes narrow as if telling me not to, but I was going to anyway, no matter how cute her scowl is. "Live a little."
