El has her powers, Hopper and Billy are alive, the mall is still there and the Upside Down exists but there are no supernatural issues per se (yay). Hawkins, Indiana. 1985. She's finally free of her annoying boyfriend Mike and she's got a new best friend Max. Max is outgoing and fun and everything El wants to be. She's also...really pretty. But Nick never signed up for missing children, demogorgon attacks and having to save the world. Just as George had started to make friends, everything fell apart. Now George will do everything he can to save his friend, even if it means risking his own life. Much to the dismay of his overprotective older sister. Nick had always been protective of her brother, but how can she protect him now? AN: This will end up being a Steve x OC fic but I don't want to rush his character arch (which was so well done in the series).
