“Miss. Johnson, define ferocious,” Sir calls out. My head snaps up, and I hesitantly open my mouth to reply. I feel dumb for not being able to define such a basic word.
The class begins to snicker and mumble out a few snarky, rude comments. Just as I'm about to accept my stupidity, Harry walks in. I part my lips and let the words roll of my tongue, as we hold an intense eye contact.
“Ferocious. Savagely fierce, cruel or violent. Characterised by or involving aggression, bitterness, and determination. At some stages, extreme and unpleasant.”
Harry's gaze bores into my head. The events from the previous night, blurs my vision.
“Absolutely correct…” Sir says, and the rest is blocked out by my music. Harry's slow movement leaves me hanging, as the words from our last encounter re-enters my brain.
