The year is 2023. 99.6% of the U.S. population has been killed. Military destruction has left much of the country in shambles. But after a nuclear weapon is detonated in the center of the United States, many of the perished begin to rise from their graves, turning into the walking dead. A small group of teen survivors, located in Washington State, now must trek nearly 3,000 miles through the zombie apocalypse to New York City, where salvation may lie.
