All of my earliest memories are of me and my mother running. Running from my father, running from the villagers, and running from the guards.
From a very young age I knew nobody liked our kind, but that's just because nobody cared to look past our gifts to the person inside. That's because they are afraid of the unknown and of people that are more powerful then them.

I've been alone for so long that everything is starting to look hazy. My life has turned into nothing but dulled sounds and colors. Even the joy of running in my wolf form was now skimmed to only the shallowest feelings of contentment.
That was all intel I bumped into the love of my life.
Now I'm usually not the type of guy to believe in love at first sight, but what I do believe in is love at first touch. Once you touch your one true mate you knew that they where the one for you. The one person that would love you unconditionally, and I would do the same for them.
And I absolutely loved her already.

I don't know how to explain it but it felt as though my brain was tearing in two, like my head was cracking open. When the pain stopped, I found myself surrounded by wolves, the shifted pups.
