Una joven de nombre Ary se despierta después de sufrir un asalto en un maravilloso paisaje cósmico. Luego de darse cuenta que ya no es parte de la Tierra se encuentra con Hemis, un joven de otro planeta con apariencia similar humana, quien al igual que ella se ha vuelto una nube de partículas y energía flotando en el espacio. Juntos deciden adentrarse al cosmos intentando investigar la razón de su existencia y así encontrar una solución a su inconsistencia.
