Wren, an autumn dragon with a human form, is a guest at Duskhollow castle for the duration of the long winter. Prince Shyler, the eldest son and heir to the throne, befriended her in secret years earlier and has finally brought her to meet other humans during the time when she typically would be hibernating. This short story takes place during midwinter celebrations, when Shy invites her to the masquerade ball and Wren decides to give him a birthday present...

Note: This is an AU based on characters from the webcomic Radio Silence (radiosilencecomic.com). The creator posted artwork of Wren as a dragon, and this story was born out of that. Hopefully other readers will enjoy this drastic departure from the canon and a look into a high fantasy world!All Rights Reserved
