In the days Princess Atlantique of Yvaeka was conceived, restlessness has taken hold of her people. The prophecy of a dead man threatens Atlantique's life even before she is born. The pregnant Queen Chandria makes the impossible choice to leave her husband and their young son, Lanset, and flee through the Door to our world in order to save the lives of those she loves. Once there, the Queen is separated from her newborn daughter, never to see her again. Fast forward, Lanie is a teenager in the foster care system. She knows there is more for her -she can feel it inside. Meanwhile in Yvaeka, she is being watched over by her brother from a chamber that uses the reflections made in other worlds like security cameras. Will the obstacles Lanie and her family must face be enough to twist fate away from her destiny? Will her lioness heart be enough to make her irrepressible?
