Mariam died. They say the village is cursed. She was just 14 and very beautiful. Ana wanted to know what happened to Mariam. Villagers said the only witch who lived at the end of the village killed Mariam.
Ana heard her father talking about Mariam to the church's father one day and made up her mind to find what had happened to Mariam. She couldn't sleep that night. One night, she heard a sound and followed a shadow going out of her house, which was incidentally her father. After following for a while, she saw another shadow joining him. They were very quick and Ana couldn't keep pace with them. She almost had to run and in the process she hit a rock on her way and fell.
Ana tried to get up as soon as possible but she had hurt her chin and knees very badly and couldn't get up at once. It was then her heart started hitting hard, the beats were like trying to burst out off the chest. Someone’s hand was on her shoulder. Thousands thoughts started running on her mind. She was sure she is going to die. She wanted to scream but couldn't. She was as if paralyzed....
