This story is about 16 year old Alexis who was forced to be married with 21 year old Jose. Alexis was forced to be married with Jose because it was a family traditional thing where  when there daughters turn 16 they have to get married not by their choice but by parents choice. Jose is a 21 year old man who is very abusive. If Alexis didn't give him or do what he wanted he would beat her really hard. Alexis used to tell her self "It's gonna get better" to try and keep her self strong. But how can you stay strong when your constantly being beat.
