Rose wants to throw away her past and start new but that's hard to do when your stuck alone in a room with only your memories to comfort you.  When Jordan appears in the tree outside her window, everything changes.  Rose's instincts to hide the past that haunts her clash with her overwhelming emotions for this boy who makes her laugh when she thinks all else is lost.  At the end of the day, Rose has only one decision to make.  Close the window and stay safe in her obvious bedroom or let Jordan in and risk losing everything?  


Hazel loves her sister more than anything in the world.  Grace is her light in the dark, the one who makes her laugh when its raining, the one person she would do anything to protect.  But when something awful happens to Grace and Hazel can no longer protect her, she is forced to pull herself together and try and be there for her sister.  And as she starts to imagine a world without Grace she wonders whether its her sister that really needs her, or her who needs her sister?
