My third travel log. During the summer of 2019, my family and I went to Costa Rica for our big trip of the year! We traveled to Liberia, then to the Monteverde in the cloud forest, then to SΓ‘mara on the Pacific coast.

My Travels In Peru
My wife and I fell in love with Peru the first time we visited. It cast a spell on us the first day we arrived, and we returned many times, each time focusing on a different area or a different part of its mysterious history. How was it possible for 180 Spaniards to conquer an Empire of 20 to 30 million people? What do the Nasca Lines represent? How did the Inca construct their big palaces and temples without steel tools, the use of the wheel, or animal power? ECUADOR HIKING
Ecuador is one of the smallest South American countries, but it has a biodiversity that is second only to Brazil, the biggest country on the continent. First attracted to Ecuador by the immensely popular Galapagos Islands, we kept returning to it for its beaches and mountains, each blessed with stupendously rich fauna and flora. It's the mystic power of the mountain gods (still worshipped throughout the highlands) that keeps drawing us back year after year. We spent numerous weeks traveling along Avenida de los Volcanos visiting quaint indigenous villages, as we hiked to oxygen-starved heights to take the perfect picture of a crater lake, waterfall, or smoking volcano. The coast is no less fascinating. We spent endless golden days traveling along Ruta del Sol and Ruta del Spondylus enjoying fresh oyster cebiche and spectacular sunsets! In the small fishing ports we observed the daily ritual of bringing in the morning catch with hundreds of pelicans swarming the boats laying claim to some of it. For the fishermen, it was just another day: for us, it was an unbelievable experience. What more could one want? Well, there is also the fabulous rainforest, which takes one back to primordial times! This is actually written for my Great Uncle Atty. Pio Frago to read. We live in two different parts of the world, and this is my way to reach him. The Railroad
After an epidemic that gave half the population an incurable disease, only a few major cities remained. One of these included the wealthy city of Tallahassee, Florida, where they had the brightest minds looking for a cure. George Davidson was among those minds: his father was one of the richest people in the world prior to the outbreak and had sent George to one of the most prestigious medical schools in the country. Afterwards, after an incident that caused much grief in the Davidson family, George's father had set George on finding a cure. Finally, after four years of sleepless nights and painful losses, George had done it. He'd found the cure. But if that was the case, then why did he hire a coyote to smuggle him out of the city? Why did he run away with the only known cure for zombie-ism? TW: there's not much in this story other than some depictions of blood, violence, death, and just overall gross/gory stuff 12/1/21- this is a cool date for a cool landmark! 800 readssss π©Complete
