A continuación se muestra un diálogo realizado con un niño en donde se sospecha que puede ser víctima de abuso sexual infantil. En esta ocasión se usa un juego con una caja de arena para crear una especie de cuento o historia sobre esta caja. La idea de este tipo de técnica consiste en que el niño pueda crear con su imaginación un propio mundo en donde él puede tomar sus propias decisiones y darle un inicio y fin a una historia. Es la primera entrevista con el niño, entonces lo importante es crear una buena alianza terapéutica en las primeras sesiones. El juego es una manera liberadora de acceder al mundo del niño sin victimizarlo.
