In 19 BBY , the chancellor order the destruction of the jedi,all around the galaxy jedi general dies killed by their own Soldiers.
The jedi temple itself has fall by the hand of the newly named Darth Vader and his 501st Legions.
But a Jedi and some of his apprentice weren't betrayed by their troops but were saved because they were a lot more independent form the standard troops.
