This tale revolves around an alternate world called Avi, specifically in a continent called Des. Here, there are four lands bound by alliance, making it possible for beings of different races to coexist. However, an unknown human race invades the center of commerce, Loule', and by effect the whole continent is shook by its downfall. With Prince Maik Brightbord as the only survivor of Loule', he goes on a journey to find the invaders' key to invincibility: an Angel from the land of Gaeia that turns out to be a long-lost friend.

Follow Maik's quest for justice, freedom, and even vengeance, as new faces of foes and allies come to view. Do they get to the Angel first, or does the enemy win through a blitzkrieg?

Angels are from a world they call Alzeria. Inside said world there are 7 types of Angels for each of the elements. Earth, Sky, Storm, Water, Ice, Fire, and Shadow. But inside this world there is a dark and mysterious eighth type of Angel. The Hollows. An almost zombie-like race in the north-east of Alzeria. This is where our story begins. Sky's father, Hermes, went missing a year ago in the Hollow territory. He hasn't been seen since. After the accident, Sky and her best friend Hibiscus, an Earth Angel, were sent with her family to Earth to begin her training and to let the family recover. While on Earth, traces of Hollows become more and more prominant. What are they planning? The next perspective follows the Fire Angel Princess Ashfire, known for her fiery personality and her excellent swordplay. But with shining complements come dark rumors. See, the Royal Family of the Fire Kingdom are known for their golden wings, but Ashfire was born with gold wings with blood red feathers dotting its surface. Ashfire also has a few secrets of her own that could place her and her disfunctional family at risk in the war waging between the Fire Kingdom and the Shadow Kingdom. What will become of her Kingdom? Cecilia Star has been alive long enough to know what it's like to be a demon in the human realm, but she's also been alive long enough to cope with her everyday life. But when she wakes up handcuffed to a strange Angel she's never met before, she's thrown for a loop. Cecilia assumes it's all just one big, extremely cruel prank by the twins in order to rile her up and test her limits. After all, Maisie is everything that Cecilia would rather leave behind her, determined, opinionated, and so very clearly wrong. But it doesn't take Cecilia and Maisie long to realize that the handcuff prank is a little more than just a lighthearted joke. The thing about Demon metal is that it is a fickle thing. It can only be unlocked by the person who has the key and no matter what method is used, it cannot be broken. Cecilia would rather just forget the whole thing, refuse to give Ezekiel the satisfaction he so wants, and remain handcuffed to Maisie for the rest of her life. It doesn't take long to realize that it's just not possible. Maisie is everything that she shouldn't be in the human realm. Bigoted, rude, and annoyingly difficult. She can't even get close to Cecilia without making some sort of remark on how she can't stand Demons. As the time ticks down and options become less and less, maybe being handcuffed to each other will teach Cecilia and Maisie a thing or two about themselves. Maybe running from the past isn't the right choice and perhaps, maybe even a Demon and Angel could fall in love too. (Entered in the Open Novella Contest 2022 under prompt 79.
