TRIGGER WARNING! This book is filled with mature themes such as rape, torture, suicide, self harm, and probably more. If you find that any of the writing triggers you, STOP READING. This book is made to entertain, not harm. Asher was sold to a man when he was young, knowing nothing but darkness, fear, and his own suicidal thoughts. Things change so drastically when Jace Benson, a local detective, saves the boy and takes him under his wing. Asher dosn't know what to think of his kindness however, hoping that somehow, he could adapt to this oddly kind world.
