After an abnormal murder in London of a nun named Mary Gray, detective Elmer Parkes decides to take on the case due to a close bond and promise. He thinks this is nothing more then a sick man getting a kick out of mocking the church, and all he wants is the answers. However, he isn't the only one wanting to take on this case.
Struggling writer for the Northern Star, John Kelly, is in need of a story. And what better way to get the scoop and keep his job than to solve this strange murder. And yet, American Supernatural fanatic, George Crawford think the two are both simple minded and need to think of the bigger picture: demons.

And so the chief of the police come to one conclusion: if they want to take on the case, they'll need to be working together in order to receive what they want.

The only problem is; they can't stand each other.
