Or so the X-men presumed.
The Phoenix Force that resides within Jean, is an immortal and immutable manifestation of the universal force of life and passion. Born of the void between states of being, the Phoenix Force is a child of the universe. It is the nexus of all psionic energy that does, has, and ever will exist in all realities of the multiverse.
It is described as being "the embodiment of the very passion of Creation-the spark that gave life to the Universe, the flame that will ultimately consume it."

She never really understood why everyone was obsessed with Steve. Or was everyone obsessed with his hair? She never knew. He could be a real asshole sometimes, too. But for whatever reason, she finds herself becoming closer with him the more they hang out. It's been a year since Logan joined the X Men, some of his memories within his mind have been unlocked. During this trip he saves a woman named Alejandra who was being chased by military vehicles for a reason she doesn't remember. Logan returns to Xavier's school for gifted youngsters with Alejandra the woman he saved. Charles Xavier helps her to unlock her memories and a heart shaped locket just happens to be hiding a secret key to her past but a rage inside her is triggered by one word. A word that takes over turning her against Logan the man who she was created to kill. 6 years into the future more of Alejandra's families past is revealed and her past connection to Logan. Their entangled past and returned memories only complicates their relationship. All matters aside Xavier offers Alejandra to join the X Men. The offer is tempting but she also has to consider the opportunity she has to reconnect with her family. Her choice will effect her future. But what will she choose?
