Alli was once a normal girl that of course until the day she went surfing and was bitten by a strange yellow and blue fish. At first, she made nothing of it, but little did she know that everything she thought she knew about the world was going to change. Not too long after her fish bite, Alli goes swimming in the Ocean and has a shock of a lifetime when she sees that her feet have turned into a tail! With her mind filled with questions, she quickly learns that she can communicate to fish and has the ability to control the ocean water. Through a strange bond, she befriends the fish that bit her and learns that she is a part of a rare mermaid species that hasn't been created for over sixty years. In the ocean, she discovers other mermaids and mermen and she becomes friends with Princess Lily and a merboy named Oliver. Together they will search for an emerald stone of great power that will help Alli learn the truth of her powers and the past of her kind. Along the way she faces danger and receives help from unlikely people
