A poem I wrote for one of my classes. We had to be creative and write about something interesting. I decided on insanity because it has always been something that I have had a interest in. I hope you like :)

She's falling apart, and he's falling in love. At seventeen, she carries more burdens than most. Some days, she drowns in alcohol; other days, in depression. But mostly, she's just a girl trying to hold everything together. She leaves Italy behind and moves to Amsterdam to live with her grandmother, hoping to save her mother from drowning in debt. She spends her days on the balcony, lost in thought, searching for a way back home. Until Francis, her stepcousin, finds her at her lowest. He sees past her scars, past the truths she tries to hide. And in the midst of her unraveling, he offers her something she never expected. Love, he calls it.
