Lara isn't excited one bit. She's attending the town's richest and poshest school, and she thinks she's going to end up an extreme nerd, like her older sister, which she definitely isn't looking forward to. But on her first day there, she realized that everyone was different from what she ever imagined, and soon enough she develops a crush on the rebellious bad boy, Ryder Stone. To her astonishment, the next day, she is assigned a partner for a project, and her partner is none other than the bad boy himself, so she forces herself to talk to him and unintentionally unveils a secret that would leave her and Ryder fighting for what they truly believe in.

Jessica is your everyday not-so-stereotypical nerd. She does not act like regular nerds, who are obsessed with having perfect grades, although she is an A+ student and not very noticeable. She is more like wallpaper than an actual talking human, until she meets the school bad boy. They became immediate enemies (well, after she gets over his good looks). They are forced to spend time together since they both are in many of the same classes and have the same job. But he begins to rub off on her, and she suddenly becomes more confident and courageous. Is this a bad thing? Or is he just a bad influence?
