Thanatos is annoyed with Nico, who made Hades mad at a jarring family dinner. He decides that Nico should have someone just as angry with him. Will thought that something felt familiar about the death, but brushed it off to PTSD, he goes to Nico for comfort, it's always difficult to lose a patient. Then he talks to Nico and realizes what that familiar feeling is. Will is mad at Nico, Nico needs to get out of camp. He shadow travels to anywhere away from all his problems, and ends up in probably the most dangerous city in the US, Gotham. Oops. Now with his powers depleted, he has to try and find a way to survive in this city that reeks of death. After a few violent encounter with the locals, he finally gets some money and rents an apartment, expecting to be there for a while. Will he survive in this city of crime? The Second Giant War was gruesome. With only 3 of the 7 left alive, they demigods of prophecy left the camps. They were unable, or maybe just unwilling, to be in the places where their friends once walked. They chose to escape the world of demigods while they still could. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. Nico... well, Nico had other ways of coping. ------------- Nico had had a long life. 16 years old, plus however many had passed in that cured casino had left little joy in his life. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He only knew his sister for around a year before he had lost her, and not a single day had passed in the last two years that he hadn't thought of her. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place.
