Maggie Collins was living a normal life as the 16 year old daughter of Alexander City Police Chief, Mark Collins and Cardiac Surgeon, Dr. Josephine Collins. Well, her normal life is turned upside down when the criminal brother of a patient who died on the table in one of her mother's surgeries decides he wants revenge for what happened. The brother followed Dr. Collins home and slaughters her and her husband and then kidnaps Maggie.
Detective Matthew Holden is working his first case as a homicide detective. No one would expect it to be the homicide of his boss an his wife. Now, it's a race against the clock to find the daughter, Maggie.
Three days pass and finally she is found but she was beat up and given a few broken bones. How will she cope? How will ishe recover?
Six years pass, and Maggie moves into a two bedroom apartment after she graduates college. To her surprise, Detective Holden lives three doors down. Will there be more to their being neighbors? Possibly love?
