People often assume I have the perfect life, being the daughter of a celebrity and all.
Not quite.
You many have heard of my mom, Sabrina Carpenter.
My dad, Corey Fogelmanis.
Whoohoo.
No, they're not bad parents or anything. I don't think either one of them have a bad bone in their body. But they're never around. Mom is always touring or promoting her music. And dad, he's gotten huge recently. He's been in movie after movie.
Mom just finished her recent tour, so she's home a little more. Usually when she's home she's on her phone or laptop interacting with fans. Though most celebrities don't do any more than maybe like a comment or retweet something every now and then, Mom strives to notice as many fans as she can, to make them feel seen.
Sometimes I feel like Carpenters are more apart of the family than I am. Because I'm sure if Mom was approached by a fan with sleeves on hot summer days, or that was constantly limping, or that had bones sticking out of her stomach because she was so skinny, she would notice something was up.
Not with me. You see, I can't tell my mom any of this. Asher would kill my parents. And even though they're never around, and maybe if they were around more none of this would have happened, I still love them. Still, I often wish for a break. Can I just have a moment of peace for once? Without worrying about my weight, or my scars, or Asher.
Can I breathe?
