Carolyn was only 16 when her parents sent her off to Mrs.Vaughn's Institute For The Mentally Unstable. This is where Carolyn is to spend the next months, or maybe even years. Carolyn can't control herself when sharing a room and she can't even be left alone in one of the institute's completely padded rooms. There becomes only one final choice for Carolyn's rooming situation. But, when Carolyn meets a certain boy with certain special talents, that's when everything goes off the rails. Will Carolyn be able to regain control of herself? Will the boy become more than just another boy? Will Carolyn be able to get out of the trap that she is stuck in? Hope has always expected the worst when it comes to people. Although who could blame her? Since she was about the age of five Hope and her brother Gavin have been in foster care. They never knew their father. Before they were born he had left their mother to be a teen mom on her own. As for their mother to them, she was the most wonderful and caring person they knew. To everyone else she was A depressed mother that had spent more time on drugs than off of them. She cared about her kids she really did, she just didn't know how to handle them.
