A long time ago, the world was good and bad, but there was a harmony. 

Cars on the roads, kids hating school because they dislike the work, people dissatisfied with certain jobs, people fighting over who should be the leader, the countries on the verge of war, etc. 

But there were the good side too. Teenagers falling in love, rights being given, and more people being free every day, kids playing pretend, pets being given love, etc. 

This was a good time, though many from that time would say the world was getting worse, reverting back to the time of segregation and oppression.

Think about being able to do things even without going through the difficulty of learning them. There will be no boundaries. No limitations. No obstacles. Yet will there be no catch? She's a lost soul, searching for Froot Loops in a world of Cheerios. Emotions. Inflicted by words, Creating signals to connect those emotions. A pang in your heart, the dull ache of love, a tedious, meaningless thing to some. The entire thing to others. Confusing, at the least. All consuming, at the most. We bundle it inside, Hide it in boxes, In the deepest crevices of our persona, Then suddenly, it burst free, tumbling into the atmosphere, filling every hour, every moment. Words convey it. Words share it. Through words, our emotions are liberated. Disclaimer: I wrote this throughout the course of a year. It had its ups and it's down in emotion. It ends on a happy note, I think. It has some overdramatic things in which my past self annoys me sometimes. But it also has some good pieces of thought. The world sucks. I can't promise that it's not going to suck, Because it probably always will. But there will be times Where the good in the world Makes it suck a little less.

I have forgotten what it feels like to be free. To have a voice. I can't say anything, or else they might catch me. My parents would never forgive me. I'll be arrested. Maybe even killed. Probably killed. We didn't open our eyes in time to see the train come barreling down the tracks. It crushed our freedom, burned our self-worth, and now we have to pay the price. All because we didn't see it coming. The American Constitution doesn't apply to us. All of the activists were silenced. And now it's all coming back to bite us. We'll just have to bite back harder. The whole camp was filling with smoke. I coughed, praying that my lungs would keep working for just a few more minutes. "Eli, which way is west?" Adam's breathing was just as labored from physical exertion, smoke, and panic as mine was. I didn't even process the question. I didn't know. We couldn't see anything through the smoke because the fire was spreading so quickly, and I just realized I'd forgotten my walkie-talkie. "Don't know!" I answered. Adrenaline was the only thing that kept my feet going. I knew we'd come in the East Gate, and if the cells were in the center, then if we kept going straight, we were going to find the gate any second. "Keep straight!" I instructed. I saw his head bob slightly, acknowledging my delayed direction. Then Adam cried out beside me, and I stopped short. I reached for his body involuntarily as he pitched forward, nearly causing him to take me down with him. My left hand was soaking wet from where it had landed on his shoulder. I winced as I tried to steady him, not daring to look at what I knew would be a pool of blood in my hand. ☁ Now that they have a new ally on their side, they're looking to change the United States for good. At some point, they want every camp freed and every teenager home safe. But each new camp brings an endless supply of new challenges. Things are beginning to spin out of control. Follow each of them as they discover who they are, who they love, and more of their country's secrets than they could ever dream of in a thrilling trilogy told from all five points of view.

You liked it quiet indoors with books, movies, video games, or playing by yourself outside away from other kids.
