Rose is fourteen years old and she lives in the foster care system. She has been in the system since she was eight years old. Rose's parents died in a car accident and Rose had no other family to take care of her so she went in the system. Rose has been bounced from home to home and she has never found a family that was willing to adopt her. At fourteen, she has lost all her trust in people and refuses to get attached to any foster family that she ends up in. 

David and Alexandra Burke have four sons, Jackson, Jace, Max and Ben. David and Alexandra have always wanted a daughter and have always wanted to adopt. When they are asked to foster a fourteen year old girl, they see this as an opportunity to have the daughter they have always wanted. The boys have always wanted a sister and when they are told that they will have a foster sister, they're excited and can't wait to make her apart of their family.

Sophie is about to be fifteen years old and has she get's older, she realizes how much her mother will miss out on. The future she has, her mother won't be around to see it. Her grief has reappeared after she believed she had gotten better. For Sophie's brothers, it's been three years if learning how to be the best brothers they can be for Sophie. It's been three years of nightmares and panic attacks, of fear that keeps their little sister locked in her room. It's been three years of trying to help their sister. Now, she's fifteen and dealing with a lot both on the inside and the outside. The first book is being rewritten so it will be different than what this book is about. I will get around to rewriting this book as well but not right now. I'm changing quite a few things about the original story and I will be editing Being Their Little Sister also so they match. For the moment, My Older Brothers has been taken down for editing and I will start putting the chapters back up after I've edited the chapters. I will do the same with Being Their Little Sister.
