Hallways that held nothing in them seemed endless. To any ordinary person, it would look like a waste of space or a place of loneliness. However, to a certain freckled boy, it was his everything.

His home.

As it was, he had never walked out of the walls that kept him enclosed. Even if he did, he never counted the indoor garden as the 'outside.' Although it was beautiful, he wished he could take a look at the world beyond the walls.

Maybe that's why people say, "Be careful for what you wish for?"
