Rosetta Island, a beautiful home to a large district of people. A famous legend revolves around how the Island got its name. The Rosetta Stone wielded the power to translate written languages into a language the bearer can understand. Rosetta Island was found to have similar properties and the Island's first Chief found he could speak to the creatures living in water and on land as long as he was near the Island. Flynn, a young Mer-Man. Flynn is a rebel and goes against his culture in many ways. From exploring caves to even going above the waves, risking being seen. Atlantis, under the sea, is home to many a Mer-folk and is kept hidden, safe from Humans who once, long ago, wanted to destroy everything they held dear. In the modern world, however, Flynn is unconvinced that the two-legged creatures roaming above still have wants to destroy everything. Sefina's family had been there ever since the first Chief. After the passing of Chief Peyak many years ago, the people had long since forgotten about the Mer-folk and stopped searching for them. There were some who didn't give up, but over time their adventures were all in vain. Many generations later, a new chief now chosen, reassures them that Mer-folk does not exist and that their ancestors were all fools who died a watery grave for some made-up fairy tale. Sefina has faith that Mer-folk are still out there and that the reason why they've never seen them is that they're just shy. Can Flynn convince his people that Humans don't seek the blood of Mer-People? Can Sefina find the long-lost Atlantis and prove to her people that Mer-Folk still exist? Will the future of Rosetta Island hold both Humans and Mer-folk living in peace and harmony. And will Sefina and Flynn's unexpected meeting cause sparks of love and either war between Humans and Mer-folk, or a union of two worlds that were once divided. Katniss was different. She thought it was weird that all those little girls up in the world wanted to grow tails and come to the sea to live with the mermaids when all she wanted was to get rid of hers and walk on the warm sand. To live up on dry land and see something other than the dreary depths of the ocean. She just wants to live outside the water and be where the people were. It gets worse when she falls in love with a young prince whose ship crashes one day and she saves from drowning. So she decides to change that. She makes a deal with Ursula the sea witch and gets her legs for three days, in exchange for her voice of course. She can keep her legs if she can get the young prince to fall as helplessly in love with her as she is with him and seal it with a kiss. There is just one problem. Without her voice, how could she possibly get the prince to fall in live with her?
