"Mental abuse is like hammering nails into a fence. You can remove the nails and paint over them but you can never fully get rid of those holes. The scars left by mental abuse remain forever." - Anonymous At 15, Jenna Adamson meets a guy she thinks could be the one. Their relationship proves to be volatile. When Jenna becomes pregnant just two years later, she's met with some serious challenging issues that follow her for years to come. She tries her hardest to be the best mom she can be to her son, but is constantly brought down by mental abuse at the hands of his manipulative and narcissistic father, Tommy Tyler. Tommy proves to be a terrible person. Furthering the abuse he started at the very beginning of their relationship. He does everything he can to not only make Jenna feel horrible but he flips everything around on her, gaslighting her until she crumbles into someone she hardly recognizes. Until she believes that everything is truly her fault. Jenna grows stronger as she realizes she needs to be strong for her son as his father becomes increasingly more absent and emotionally disconnected. She is determined to be the best mother ever despite countless efforts made by her son's father to make her out to be the bad guy for HIS mistakes. Jenna finds her way out of the dark through a mixture of self-help books, mediation, and anti-depressants. ***TRIGGER WARNING*** Not suited for persons under 18. This is a gripping tale that highlights the long-term effects of mental abuse on the human mind. If you think you are being mentally abused, please seek help. You don't have to live through it. This story contains descriptions of self-harm, mental/physical abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, rape and suicide attempts.

For 25 year old Amara Danvers, her life had gone to hell. She was stuck in an abusive relationship with a man who she loved but no longer wanted to be with. Trapped in a state far away from her family, no one to rely on. Her boyfriend's family shunned and ostracized her, looked the other way as she was repeatedly abused... Can life go on like this? What happens when everything... Even the tables change in a single night? "I don't want to live like this anymore!" "Then don't live. No one will ever love you." "Please! Stop hurting me! What did I do to deserve this?" "Ask yourself that... No one wants you. You deserve this. You'll never find anyone better." When the wheels stop spinning and everything goes dark.... "GET RID OF IT!" "STOP YOU'RE HURTING ME!" Will she have the strength to survive? To walk away? This is NOT a work of fiction. This is Real. This happened. This happened specifically to me.
