Russia plays football, no, not your Football! You call it, soccer.
America plays football, Yes, your football. American football.
They're the biggest rivals in school. Always doing the opposite of each other. America plays baseball, Russia does track. But there is one place they do clash. Hockey, and everyone gets excited to see the all out brawl that comes from the two fighting over team captain.
Ever since America's 18th birthday he's been searching for his soulmate, and begins to feel that familiar rivalry with Russia excite him more than usual. What happens when Russia's 18th birthday rolls around and he feels that excitement too? But more importantly... how will that affect their hockey season!?

This is a Countryhumans story about Germany and Russia. Warning: This is a slow burn. Germany is an excited and hardworking person who miraculously was accepted to one of the most prestigious universities. His foster father urges him to go to a field that is in Germany's opinion, dull and boring, as he has his own opinion on what is interesting to him. As always, there are ups and downs, but he is giddy with freedom and doesn't let anyone faze him. Until he finds that the subject his foster father wants him to pursue is a prerequisite Russia, on the other hand, is a stoic, blunt and straightforward, sometimes being aggressive and reserved. He amazingly passed the tests to be accepted to the Globally recognized university, and is ushered out of his home to get a degree to be able to help his father feed his family. he has no time for youthlike fun, frivolous adventures and romance. He expects the year to be dull but needed for his life. Both of them don't expect to become friends, and avoid eye contact. Germany then wishes to have more of the classes with Russia, just to get close. Does he succeed? That is the question.
