Pan was always the normal girl, she didn't stay out late, and got good grades. She was the golden child. But as she grew older it became a lot harder to ignore all of the things about her that were 'different' for one she was bisexual something her small Christian family couldn't accept, and absolutely obsessed with space.
Living on her own at twenty all she wants is to pay her rent and get a decent college education preferably in astronomy so she could study the stars. Little did she know that life had a very different path for her, in her dreams, she can see a man in a ship trying to make his way to earth. When he shows up half-dead in front of her apartment door Pan will have to do everything she can to get him home and save his planet from invaders he calls the Benero.
Phoenix is a man with a mission willing to do anything to reach his goal of saving his home planet even if it means dying. On a mission to find a voice that has been calling out to him in his dreams promising their help in saving his planet he meats Pan. She's funny, sweet, and just being around her can make him smile, but she hardly seems able to save herself let alone his whole planet.

Demalynn is surprised to find out she is the Helper, but is astounded to learn the identity of the Gravidarum. Demalynn must battle to stay alive and fumbles towards the realization that Aiden is much more than a close friend. She is certain, with the certainty that only a seventeen-year-old can possess, that Aiden is her only true love. He doesn't think her a worthy opponent, and leaves her unharmed. But the rival super predators, and the hunters from his clan, don't care that she's inferior in battle, she's fair game to them. Joining forces with her, and the other humans they go up against the predators in a fight for survival and a way off of the game reserve planet. Along the way, a bond develops and she starts to have mixed feelings about leaving the planet. If they succeed, she can't go with him to his home planet, and he can't stay on her's.
