It's been four years and it still feels like all eyes are on her.

It's like Kareema August will never be anything else.
Her family moved here in 2015 because her dad was offered a job as the new principal at the local Highschool. So she was forced to leave her home in New York City behind and move to small town in Connecticut called Essex. Being in middle school at the time she loathed the idea of leaving in the middle of the year during the 6th grade. Sixth graders are mean and in a small town, new people are outsiders.
