Thandolwethu Lunabella Ndamase-Richards also known as Thando or Luna is an 18 year old girl and is raised by her parents with her obnoxious brother, Siyabonga. Thando's mom, Sisipho Ndamase was raised by her single mother along with her sister Lillian in Khayelitsha, Western Cape, South Africa. Thando's dad, Owen, was raised by his father only, being the only child, his mother passed on from breast cancer. He was born in Houston, Texas, USA. When Thando's parents got married, they started to raise a mixed raced family and live in Chicago.

When Thando's grandmother starts to get sick, Thando's mom suggests they go to South Africa to visit her and her sister. As they arrive there, Thando meets a guy and gets to know him better and starts to go head over heels for him, even though she has a boyfriend in America, but what she doesn't know about him is that he is part of an infamous mafia gang in Cape Town.
