On the first day of October 1989, forty-three women around the world simultaneously gave birth. None of the women showed any prior signs of pregnancy. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, made it his personal mission to find and adopt as many of these children as possible. He got eight of them with that one set of twins that maybe came from the same mother but in appearance, they were as different as anyone could be. Before the umbrella academy, hargreeves simply tried to put powers into one's body. To twist the DNA in such a way that they would have abilities. Therefore he adopted a child, her name was Elizabeth. Soon, she had to ability to turn her body into a gas. However, after that succeeded he got mad with power. He wanted to see if it was possible to make someone immortal. it was much too dangerous to try to on himself, therefore, he chose Elizabeth. Instead of making her immortal, it made her "stuck" in a way. She simply did not age, she was stuck in the body of her 13-year-old self. She would eventually die as her mind aged, but her appearance would stay the same. Or so they all thought. When the siblings come together to mourn the death of their father, their brother number Five suddenly reappears and reveals that the world is going to end in 8 days. Lucy Hargreeves, never really fitted in with her siblings, so when Five returns she is over the moon to see him, as he always used to be her favourite brother. When he tells her about doomsday, she is desperate to help him stop it, but she knows that deep down her powers are not as good as everyone elses. An unknown thing arrives and began to ravages the universe making animals and people to disappear without a trace and soon the whole universe is in danger. Now they need to convince The Sparrow to help them save the universe but that's easier said than done.
