Tsukiko Hokke is the princess from the House of Kanshi. Her mother treats her horribly because she believes that Tsukiko is weak and unable to do anything. Once Tsukiko turns sixteen, her mother sends her off to the House of Konoe to be the next empress without Tsukiko's consent. She is forced to live in the House of Konoe and has to share the same room with the Crown Prince, soon to be emperor, Yukiharu Genji. Eventually, they work together to accomplish their goals... by escaping.
