18 year old orphan Cassie (Human) has nothing to fear, she is poised and obvious when it comes to telling people to back off. She is the type of girl to put people in their places, in other words an awesome hero to the weak and a despised enemy to the ignorant.
Jason, being the only son of the alpha sees Cassie for the first time and instantly acknowledges that she is indeed his mate. Having had a bad experience with relationships before; Cassie agrees to start to interact with him only if she is in charge of how they go about having a relationship.
Agreeing to this, Jason soon begins to feel regret because before he knows it, he is stuck in the situation where he is to choose between his family/pack or his mate. They seem to hate his unabashed mate and she seems to feel the same way too, towards them.
Cassie knows that this is not an easy decision for Jason to make, so she makes it for him. He can keep his pack and she would go away.
Jason soon learns that his pack are behind this, therefore he goes to search for Cassie abandoning his duties and in other words quits. This brings outrage to the pack who concludes that Cassie has brainwashed Jason and has him wrapped around her finger. They set out to destroy her which will provide Jason with no choice except to come back.
The question is, will Jason get to Cassie before the pack? And if he does, how on earth will he protect her and himself against a raging pack of wolves? Read to find out...
