Serena Dane has had her heart broken more times than she can count.  She lost her parents, her best friend,  and the boy who stole her heart all in the course of one year.  Still she found the strength to move on with her life.  But when she runs into an old friend at the fall of two of her former classmates, things start to become a little more complicated.  She becomes a reluctant adoptive mother to the child that ended the first Wizarding War: Harry Potter.  His safety is entrusted to her and her unique abilities.  With the help of a close friend, she sees him safely into his first year at Hogwarts.  A new challenge awaits her in the form of an old flame whom she still loves with all her heart.   But what is waiting in the wings of the school Harry for is something far more dangerous than she ever expected.  Will she be able to protect Harry from the danger at Hogwarts and deal with matters of the heart along the way?
