Lacey Baker has been kept locked up in a tiny cell for all seventeen years of her life. During one of her monthly "checkups" the so-called doctor diagnosed her with leukemia. This news came as a shock to her and her tormentors for werewolves should be able to fight off these illnesses. She has never been able to shift before due to the treatment she was receiving and after hearing this news she never will. When Lacey finally escapes, she lives her life within a homeless center scavenging for loose money wherever she could to afford chemo for a year. Now eighteen, what would happen when she wanders into a pack territory oblivious to the cruel hearted alpha who reigns those very lands.
