After Markus led the Androids to victory and freedom in the revolution, humans began to work alongside them. Some still hated the idea of working with Androids while others we more than happy to have them as equals.

Cyberlife didn't stop making new models, though, and the Detroit Police Department hired the newest model. The RK900 was tested and redesigned multiple times and finally, the new "self-aware" female Android is assigned to partner with Detective Gavin Reed. Upon working with him, she meets Connor and Hank, two people Gavin dislikes.
