Alone In The Dark

Sara Evens has been abused by her father for as long as she can remember. Each day and night is unexpected beatings and occasionally rapes. So when the neighbors get suspicious of what happens in the Evens house they move. Sara starts at Rural High, wanting to stay out of sight, and a loner just like always. But when Mr. Popular and biggest player, Ryder James turns out to be her neighbor, things get complicated. One night he finds Sara in her backyard, bruised and bleeding. He helps her, but demands to know what happened. She claims that she got mugged and just managed to make it home. He wants to believe her, but why does he feel like she’s hiding something? And why does he feel this unexplainable attraction to her? What happens when deep secrets come out in the open? And people from the past sudddenly reappear?
